Ontrack Data Recovery is a division of Kroll Ontrack and has provided data recovery software and services to corporations and consumers since 1985. Jim Reinert, Senior Director of Software and Services for Ontrack Data Recovery, discusses the latest release of PowerControls. PowerControls 2.1 addresses the difficulties involved in restoring and searching email archives from the Exchange server. PowerControls allows users to recover individual mailboxes, folders, messages, attachments, even calendar, notes, tasks, etc. from Exchange backups, un-mounted database (.edb), and Information Stores. The software product eliminates the need to backup mailboxes individually minimizing the amount of storage space needed and the cost required to store and archive backups.

PowerControls is compatible with Exchange Server 5.5, 2000, and 2003, Outlook 97 and higher, and runs from Windows NT 4 Workstation, Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows XP Professional.
