Jim Reinert, Senior Director of Software and Services for Ontrack Data Recovery, discusses the latest release of PowerControls. PowerControls 2.1 addresses the difficulties involved in restoring and searching email archives from the Exchange server. PowerControls allows users to recover individual mailboxes, folders, messages, attachments, even calendar, notes, tasks, etc. from Exchange backups, un-mounted database (.edb), and Information Stores. The software product eliminates the need to backup mailboxes individually minimizing the amount of storage space needed and the cost required to store and archive backups.
